The Mermaid Country Day Camp Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) / Leadership Program is offered to to teens ages 14 and 15 who are interested in learning to work with and lead groups of campers. Members of the C.I.T. Program will receive training in group dynamics, child development, conflict resolutions, and role modeling. A variety of opportunities to explore and develop leadership skills will be provided through community service and leadership challenges.

C.I.T. Members will participate in daily discussions to review their day. There will be constant feedback throughout the summer, including evaluations at the end of each week.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION:

• Minimum enrollment of 6 weeks required
• C.I.T. hours run 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM
• The C.I.T. program does not guarantee employment the following summer
