Camp Jeremy:
An opportunity for transplant recipients between the ages of 6 and 16 to participate in a wide range of activities including swimming, arts & crafts, nature study, archery, athletics, tennis, beach volleyball, music, group games, and more.
The idea for Camp Jeremy was inspired by Jeremy Clemens, who received a heart transplant at age eight, and worked as a Mermaid Country Day Camp counselor for several years. His family wishes to continue Jeremy’s tradition of having transplant recipientsenjoy a week at camp. Click

Cooking Camps:
For the fourth year, Mermaid Country Day Camp, in conjunction with Kathy Wolper of Kathy's Just Desserts, will present several Cooking Camps. This venture has been very successful, and MCDC and Kathy's Just Desserts are collaborating to present even more Cooking Camps this summer!
Once again, your "cookin' kid" will work in a kitchen just like the ones you see on television cooking shows. The Cooking Camps will be held in the air-conditioned Paddock Room at The Barn.
A. G. Doll Camp - If your daughter has those historic dolls, each with her own story, she'll love this camp. Your daughter (and her doll) can come and learn more about what her doll would've eaten if she were a real little girl in the era she represents. Kathy Wolper of Kathy's Just Desserts will also read A. G. doll stories, and the girls will have time to play with the dolls.
June 14-18 • 9 AM - 12 PM • (Ages 5-10)
Cooking Around the Clock - During this camp, children will learn from Kathy Wolper of Kathy's Just Desserts to make a different meal each day of the cooking camp. We'll make (and eat!) breakfast, brunch, lunch, snacks, and dinner. What fun!
June 14-18 • 1 PM - 4 PM • (Ages 8-12)
Beginning Cooking - In this camp children will work with Kathy Wolper of Kathy's Just Desserts to prepare kid-friendly foods. We'll eat what we make, and we'll even have time for a swim (weather permitting).
Aug 9-13 • 9 AM - 12 PM • (Ages 7-11)
Cooking Around the USA - Children will learn about regional cuisine in this camp. Kathy Wolper of Kathy's Just Desserts will explain WHY certain foods/styles of cooking are more prevalent in different areas of the US. Each day, we'll "travel" to different parts of the US, making meals well-known in Hawaii, California, Tex-Mex style, Southern cooking, and Philly Phoods!
Aug 9-13 • 1 PM- 4 PM • (Ages 11-15)
